...would it be ok to post a thread saying I'd love to buy a home directly from a homeowner (i.e. Avoid realtors) in x, y, or z neighborhoods and inquire if anyone knows folks in those neighborhoods that might be interested in such an arrangement? I'd provide a contact email.

I haven't seen anything like that posted there so not sure if it's appropriate??
