Clearly you've never actually done this. Try 20 minutes each way, 20 minutes in the store.

That's not exactly close.

There is also a Subway in McLean. Lost Dog Cafe on Anderson Road is better than the other suggestions.

Troll.

No, just someone who doesn't appreciate their neighborhood playground/park being overrun by whackos from 15 miles away.

Ten minutes south on the GW Parkway will land you at The Italian Store. If you're willing to go 25 minutes out of your way (10 minutes each way plus 5 minutes to run in and pick up your stuff), The Italian Store is worth it. I would call from the car and order ahead.

I agree that it would be best just to pick up something near your own house, plop it into a cooler, and head on over to Clemyjontri.

Can you pick something up in MoCo before you leave? None of these places is especially convenient o the park , but the closest will be Balducci's, Nourish and Sweetleaf (and I'd rather have pb&j over Sweetleaf).

Sweetleaf? It's ok, not great or anything.

Not much very close, but there is Harris Teeter in Tysons, Balducci's in McLean and Jason's Deli or Whole Foods in Falls Church/Tysons relatively nearby.

DH wants to go to Clemyjontri park for father's day (I don't ask!), i'd like to bring a picnic/get take out from someplace near by to step up the normal PB&J sandwhichs we bring to the park. He's always on the lookout for a good deli, but the one i know in area (Boulevard) is closed on the weekends

Any suggestions? My first though is Wegmans, but it looks like it's 30min away (we're from MoCo)

Thanks!
