I have gone back a week and forward a bunch of times but still can do 10-20 pushups pretty easily. 100 would be nice but going back to not being able to squeak out 5 is not a good place to be- for me personally.

website says you can go by time or distance. What week are you on?

i'm on week eight. running 28 minutes but covering less than 2 miles.

Yes, you're moving slowly. Try going faster a little at a time. I'm on week 1, day 3. When I walk I'm doing 3.5mph on the treadmill, jog is around 5mph. I hit nearly 2 miles with my last 30min session.

I know I can!

Good luck!

Just a little inspiration for you...

My 59-year old father smoked for 30+ years, until he had a heart attack 2 1/2 years ago. He stopped smoking when he had the heart attack.

About 5 months ago, he started running, after years and years of no exercise. He has now lost 60 pounds, can run 10 miles, and is training for a half marathon.

You can do it OP!

didn't know there was a 100 pushup plan. should try that too....

Another C25k fan here! It's a great plan to get you going.

I just finished week 4. I've never been an athlete, so this is totally foreign to me, but so far I love it! I use their C25K free app and it's very helpful.

My favorite c25k app is Get Running. Also allows you to play your own music.

I did it in the fall and did my first 5k in December. Anyone can do it if I can!

I wasn't aware of the app! Thank you for sharing. I always wondered how I was supposed to find out when to walk vs run.

Good for you! Keep it up. You owe it to yourself to try.

I am one week down with the couch to 5k program. It is kicking my tail, but I am doing it. I was an athlete in HS and College but that was over a decade ago, but I swear my body remembers and wants to shed this weight and feel strong again. I would recommend it to anyone who feels like they could never do it. There is even an iphone app that plays over your playlist to tell you when to walk or run and gives encouragement. I know I have a long way to go, but even just this little bit has shown me I CAN do it, the question is simply WILL I? And frankly, I owe it to my kids to try.
