Many hosting companies have their own analytics you can access if you do ever get interested in looking into it. My site host lists all search strings from unique visitors.

It was logged. The search string was "family changing rooms".

That's interesting! I didn't know that kind of stuff was recorded. So whenever someone finds his way to a message board via a Google search, this information is available to the site administrator?

Frequently. It used to always be that way and Google Analytics will actually report the search terms used to reach a site. However, more recently Google has started encoding the request in a manner that is not easily readable. There is probably a way to decode it, but I don't care enough to look into it.

OP here. Thanks Jeff. And just so you know, each of those threads alone is not a big deal to me (or, I would say, to most of the posters here). But they are both old (apparently there were 4 that were revived), not current, and when something like that happens with threads that deal with kids and nudity, that is beyond being just a little sensitive.

Jeff, in the future, can such threads just be locked so that they can't be added to? Some of us use the search features to search for old threads and those threads, did have some useful information in them. Now, those threads are gone and we can't get the old info. I think if they're locked so that they can't be revived, it would be more useful. Thanks.

Got that one now. There were four threads revived. All by the same poster.

Just for the record, I think many of our users are way more sensitive to discussions involving child nudity then I am. I am always a bit bewildered by the extreme amount of concern any such discussions appear to generate. But, because of the reaction, I'm assuming that I am the odd ball here and trying to support user feelings in these cases.

Also, just to make clear, this post was not the only report I received so I am not addressing my remarks to the OP.

Jeff, I appreciate your removing them. I reported the family changing room post. You know what, I wouldn't just report any and every post containing nudity and children. What makes my radar go off in many of these cases is the unnecessary and gratuitous descriptions. In one of the "potential molestation" threads, I reported because there was too much detail given about how the molestation supposedly took place that didn't match the language a parent would use if truly upset about this. It wasn't at all necessary to the thread. In this case, the details about the girl's body (description of her body) was out of place. As was the hint that OP was staring at it. Also use of the word "on display." I have called out sock puppeting on many threads where Jeff was like "nah, don't think so" so of course i may be mistaken here, but I don't think so. Those posts always seem to be fishing for something, or pushing for a reaction in a way that seems obvious to me. What bothers me is then victims of abuse (or other fakers?) come out with more descriptions. I have definitely NOT reported some of those threads because I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt, to some degree, that a poster may need help, but I do try to put people on notice to not overshare, since it could be a troll. However, in this case, it just seemed really unnecessary all around.

Jeff, both of these threads have been revived recently, both dealing with naked adults and kids. It's making my radar twinge. They are the women in locker rooms post, and the walking around naked in front of your kids post. Thanks.
