We have had a decade of bush tax stimulus. It is a failed policy.

In addition to the keep taxes down now, and fix the long-term problems later, we need a similar "stimulus now/austerity later" spending plan. You give the car as much gas as necessary when you're sliding into a ditch, then you moderate the pedal pressure when you're back up on the road.

The Republicans are misstating what Clinton said. Here is the relevant quote from the article:

"I don't have any problem with extending all of it now" - referring to the tax rates. Even though Clinton made it clear in the same interview that he did not support making the Bush tax cuts permanent, which Republicans want..."

Clinton doesn't have a problem with extending the tax cuts now. Guess what? They already are extended now as a result of the deal Obama made with the Republicans last year. However, Clinton does not support making the tax cuts permanent.

Let me say this again because I have become use to our Republican friends struggling with simple concepts:

1) Clinton supports the deal that Obama made;
2) Clinton supports Obama's desire to end the tax cuts.

There is no difference in the Clinton and Obama positions.
