The arrest of the social studies teacher occurred years ago. Why would you be concerned with it now? Chances are that Frost would now be the best place and the undiscovered pedophiles at other schools would be the ones who you need to watch out for.

I think you'll be fine at either. Our kids are/were at Julius West, and we've had a positive experience. Safety has absolutely not been a problem for them, and RM has been a great experience as well.

Of course, Frost and Wooton are excellent schools, too.

I am biased as I am in the Frost / Wootton cluster. I read a survey recently (I wish I remember WHERE I read it) where they were asking students amongst other things, how safe they felt in their school. Wootton rated really high. I liked that as my DS is a nerdy, brainiac and I want him to feel safe at school. In terms of diversity both Wootton and Richard Montgomery are diverse - I think it would be difficult to find a homogeneous school in montgomery county.

I have a son at JW and he are happy with it. Please don't judge the school on the one teacher. It was an isolated incident that could happen at any school. Wooten tends to be considered the stronger high school. RM is more diverse..but my neighborhood has many happy RM students and we plan to continue with public schools. I don't think you can go wrong either way.
