Clinton is not campaigning for Obama. Your subject line is misleading. He said Romney "crosses the qualification threshold" because of his experience as a governor and in business. He is pointing out the potential drawbacks of Obama's continued attacks on Romney's record at Bain. Clinton is hardly alone in that. A number of thoughtful columnists have suggested that Obama should focus less on promoting divisions and focus more on communicating about the positive things he has done as president. That doesn't mean Clinton or any of those columnists are promoting Romney.
