He is excellent. Runs a very tight ship. The teachers have been very happy with him.
Exactly. The specials-teacher-leaving story definitely is not black and white.
I've yet to talk to a parent who is unhappy with him. I'm also on a committee with teachers, all of whom seem to view him positively.
My impression is that he is very action-oriented--both in terms of getting things done and acknowledging/rectifying mistakes. He's also taking a very thoughtful, fair, and proactive approach to class placement for next year.
I entered the year skeptical, but he has impressed me at pretty much every turn.
