Those two schools are both great because they really focus on the age groups at the school. KP has a really warm, nurturing atmosphere, just right for the K through 3-ers. KG's atmosphere is kicked up a notch, in a completely appropriate way for the 4th through 6th graders. It is a real advantage that the faculty and admin at those schools can really specialize in those age groupings.
You can't go wrong with those schools.

We love the Kings Park! Our son is in first grade this year and our daughter will start kindergarten this upcoming year. I love that the schools are divided up the way they are - it is hard to find that anywhere. The teachers and principal are great at communication and there are many community events. I am a teacher at another district, and I couldn't be happier at the education my son received this year.

We are seriously considering buying a house that is in the LB pyramid. It would be KP/KG and then off to LB. I've never heard of an elementary school being divided K-3 and then having to go to a second school for 4-6. Both schools "seem" great (looking on the website), but was hoping for some personal experiences/comments from DCUCMers.
