the original question was whether the committee actually looks at the woodcock test. don't know OP. why don't you post after you get your appeal back and let us know what the committee thinks.

Because both tests are given DURING THE SAME SESSION to show both aptitude AND achievement. Hopefully you understand there is a difference.

It wan't like "kept testing" until good results are obtained. Both tests are administered in the same testing session and then scored seperately.

As it has been said earlier, the Woodcock-Johnson is an acheivement test and does not measure IQ.

There is a line in the appeal form for achievement scores to be reported in addition to the I.Q scores.

That makes little sense when one test is an ability test and the other is an achievement test.

I would include it since you have it already. Certainly bolsters the case for advanced mathematics, at a minimum.

They have a list of tests they accept from students transferring in from other districts and that test is not on the list, but I would include it as an achievement test.

I would think you would include it. Is the score part of the psychologist's report? If so, I would include it.

I have no personal experience as I have not prepared an appeal before. (I do have two kids in AAP, though.)

Dear Community,
We are appealing for AAP for our DC who is in second grade now. The pyschologist also gave Woodcock Johnson test and found DC to be >99.8 percentile (start of 6th grade level) in Broad Math and >92 percentile (end of 4th grade level) in Broad Reading.

The WSIC came out to be 125, with one subtest PRI in the Very Superior of 131.

The question is whether the appeals team really consider the Woodcock Johnson scores or not.
