If you want to go the practical route (assuming she's going to college):
-sheets
-monogrammed towels
-bath caddy/turby twist head towel
-towel with velcro that stays in place
-laundry bag
-quarters for laundry room
You could also divide up the money and send her something like $20/week/bi weekly until you reach the amount. So she has regular cash coming in, but not all at once.

is there something she needs for college?
I would avoid loaded debit cards--there are fees associated with those that will eta into whatever you load on to it.

DD is graduating from high school, and we have no idea what to give her as a gift! Is there a traditional gift that you recommend? She has a laptop and iphone already. She hasn't requested anything in particular. Our finances are somewhat limited, but I am considering a gift card, or a loaded debit card. Maybe $250? What do you think?
