I am 5ft 2in and I love my height. I would not change a thing. Being tall is great but honestly, only if you are thin, pretty and model like. Tall and not pretty then you look like an amazon chick.

OP maybe your clothes are the issue? Not that I know what you are wearing currently, but I wonder if you need to start spending more money on high quality clothes. The proportions might work out better to make you look good. Then you won't need to limit what you wear.

08:31, that reminds me of two friend couples where the female is at least a foot shorter than her husband. Clearly the height didn't interfere with a solid relationship working out between the two people.

It is in your head. I work with lots of young people, and at 5'9", I feel short. I dont know if it's generations of good nutrition, or what, but there are lots of TALL young women in this town. There are at least two women in my office who are 6'4" or better. They look great, and after you get over the initial, "wow, they're tall!" you don't even notice it.

At less than 5', I am beyond jealous

How about some dresses with horizontal strips? I bet these maxi dresses that are out would look adorable on you; and you can wear flats!

Im 5'2 and would looove to be your height. Tall women look amazing. Plus you'd be able to date a tall person comfortably. My DH is 6'5 and I hug his waist. To hug at eye level I stand on a stool.

Wear what YOU like. Someone will always have something to say about everything but you need to please yourself. I'm 6 ft tall and one of my good friends is 5'11. We used to put on heels and dresses, go clubbing and love the attention.
Embraced it. You have legs that go on forever, an extra 10 pounds won't make you look heavy, and only guys with self confidence find their way to you

I am also not as tall, I'm 5'8", but sometimes can relate a bit.

I've recently started wearing heels, and high ones, whenever the heck I feel like it, and I say you should too. You will undoubtedly command a lot of attention and if you walk confidently, my guess is people will think you are more model like than giant like! I think the secret is knowing your are uniquely tall and OWNING it. Try imagining how everyone is looking at you b/c they are wondering if you are a model. Sounds silly, but fake it till you make it, and maybe soon you will believe in yourself more.

But really OP; you'll be fine. I have female friends that are 6' tall. I know it sucks right now because you're 24, but own your height. Stand up straight, rock heels, and be confident. There's a reason why so many people think models are hot. Legs.For.Days.

OP, I'm not as tall as you (5'9) but I HATED my height until at least my mid-20s. All my friends in high school were 5'2 and I always felt like an oaf-like giant. Now (at age 42) I love it. It's great in a crowd! Although I probably obsess about my weight a bit, because if I gain a few pounds I just feel big and heavy (man-like). When I was younger I always wanted to be described as "cute", but I came to terms with that fact it would never happen.

OP, there are so many positives to being your height I don't even know where to begin. People automatically see tall people as being stronger, smarter, more confident, etc. By all means, wear skirts and dresses and heels and start enjoying your height for the blessing that it really is.

You are tall, but this is in your head. I have two different legs and wear skirts and dresses with flats (due to a bad matching foot) all the time and nobody notices. In fact, I bet pants make you look less feminine or taller. Get your skirt/dress on already! (with flats)

5' 11 or more! I know at my 24 I should be happy with who I am but, it frustrates me in many ways. When I go to work I'd love to wear straight skirts below he knee but I can't because I can't wear heels. I always wear pants because I can wear flat shoes and people don't notice it, sometimes someone says: I thought you were wearing heels:S

I love dresses, this is my big trauma and I can't wear them because I don't want to look like a giant or more giant and I don't think they look good with flats, much less at nights, or in elegant events. So I have to settle for something "formal" but it doesn't look good when everybody has a different dress code.

I like the way I look, I know I am pretty and I like being tall but not in these situations, especially when everybody is like 5' :S and the girls look so elegant with the heels and the dresses. I guess I can't do anything about it.
