I already thought that, but he's not missing because he was with someone I was able to speak to on the phone less than 10 hours ago....can't be missing until the 24 hour mark.

Sorry about your situation OP. That would absolutely piss me off (come on, you have work and he needs the car more than you???), but I would and have done the same thing as you (not calling the cops). Hopefully, you get your car back today!

I already did, but he doesn't have the internet or a cell phone (having just got out of prison). That's why I emailed all his friends on FB and even called a few of them. Now, just waiting to see if he actually brings the car back. *sigh*

That's terrible! I would post publicly on his facebook page that if your car is not back in your driveway in 2 hours, you will report it stolen and press charges. That should get back to him. If he doesn't respond, follow through.

Thanks everyone. I just needed to vent to the universe. I told one really good friend and now she feels like she needs to go out of her way to help me (let me use her car to get to and from work or to even drop me off and pick me up if needed) but I don't want to be a burden on anyone.
I'm just so upset that I feel sick and I don't know why I'm so shocked that he would do this to me and my one year old. I just feel so stupid for allowing this to happen. He has just over 20 minutes, then I'm calling the police. I already got the non-emergency number in my phone.

I fucking HATE my asshole of a brother. It's one thing to be taken advantage of by a stranger, but your own family!? Needless to say, he wont be "borrowing" anything from me. Ever.Again.
What makes this worse, he just got out of prison two weeks ago. Couldn't even play nice for a whole month. I know, I KNOW. I should have known better than to trust him with something important to me.

Keep up the positive (hard) work. As they say, "No good deed goes unpunished." Your brother took advantage of you. You've learned a valuable lesson---never sacrifice your essentials.
You've been resourceful in tracking down the car. The police could probably do a better job of it though. Your brother chose to violate his parole. I'd call his PO and have a conversation about options.
Whatever you do, don't let this be a drain on you for one moment longer. Keep up the good work! And take care of yourself.
