Don't know about NOVA, but I can't think of any private school in DC that doesn't require the WPPSI for K. There are some that don't require it for Pre-K. Parochial schools don't require testing for K, so you could look into these.

Low WPPSI scores are correlated to lower IQ and may be an indicator of potential learning diabilities.

We are in MD. None of the parish catholic schools required it.

I'm not sure you can get into Green Hedge's Montessori in K if you haven't previously been in a Montessori program though.

Even if they don't require it, most schools will do their own evaluation at the "playdate."

Are there any private schools (preferably in NOVA) that DO NOT require the WPPSI for Kindergarten entry? We prefer not to have our DD tested for a long list of reasons. Do we have any options?
