I lived a block from there for 19 yrs. that house's location is HORRIBLE ... just awful... wouldn't consider it at any price for peace of mind, etc.

Yes, you'd basically never be able to have company over because they'd have no where to park (you can't park on Glebe). The noise would also be really loud.

The location of those houses on Glebe road makes them a total non starter for most people (espcially those with kids or who want to be able to enjoy their yard).

It's RIGHT by the 66 exit- totally noisy and bright lights all hours of the night. Glebe Road is busy enough without the 66 issue-- add in the 66 exit and its like a noise machine day and night. You could not pay me to live in that location no matter how nice the house.

And 4000 sq foot is not average for Arlington. Most Arlington lots are at least 6000 square feet (with many being larger). While its true there are some that are smaller than 6000, I've seen only a few under 5000 (outside of Lyon Village or 22201). 22205/22207/22203/22213 tend to have larger lots than those in 22201.

There are plenty of other decent houses for sale in that general area (walkable to ballston etc) in waycroft, lacey woods, tara, dominion hills etc for 600-800k....on decent size lots.

22:08 again- this is the house. I love the style! Just not the exact location; its a busy section of Glebe, by a traffic light, adjacent to 66. Its been on the market before recently. It's a seriously ugly neighborhood. The house on Emerson looks like something you'd expect to see in Bethany Beach. I kept looking for the boogie boards in the back.

I like the layout a lot, but the weird choice in floor coverings is freaking me out. Also, why are some of the windows so small?

It's in my nabe. Downside: Faces busy street (although only a couple of times a day) but seems priced for that. Pros: Excellent schools, CC Hills.

This is just down the block from me.

Caveat: I haven't been inside.
