No study has shown that a teacher with a master's degree is in any way better than one without. So why should they even be paid that much more? (Good teachers should be paid well, better than they are, but their salaries shouldn't be based on years of experience or if they have a master's degre.)

Husband: $46k, 14 years experience, bachelors, private school.

This is all a shame and exactly why I wouldn't go into the classroom setting. I make much more with private tutoring business 15 hrs a week

I make around $45K with a Master's and a few years of experience. Public elementary school in Maryland (not Mont. Co.)

I am reading a lot of topics on here about teachers not getting paid very much. Well teachers, how much do you make? Make sure to say where you work, such as private, public, daycare, preschool etc. and the age/grade of children. I am just curious.
