Parking near Independence Hall is a nightmare. Sure there is parking if you don't mind paying $15 per hour.

use this search engine. Select daily parking and then search by attraction (Independence Hall). It will bring up a map with a listing of garages. You could probably find street parking but the Philadelphia Parking Authority is out in full force giving tickets. Have fun, Philly is so much fun.

Where are you going?
There are plenty of garages and parking lots as well as street parking, but it depends where you're going. For example, the zoo and the please touch museum are in their own area and you drive/park separately for them. Same goes for the art museum, which is near the park, but not near the liberty bell.

We will be going there for a day (leave home in the morning and come back by night) to meet up with some friends. Are there public/private garages around the tourist spots? Or how hard easy is it to get metered street parking? We should be there before 9 AM. TIA.
