About a week after the sperm and egg have joined, the blastocyst or whatever its called at that point implants into the uterine lining, which triggers some hormone responses. I think this is the earliest that any preggo symptoms would be felt. It would be 6-14 days after sex/ovulation.
Are you a man? Or, do you have kids?
OP with my second I knew within a day or two. My body immediately kicked into pregnancy mode.
I'm the PP, and I'm a woman with 2 biological kids. You may "know" something from intuition, but the medical fact is that your body is really only alerted to the situation at the time of implantation, when hormones are released.
During the year it took me to conceive my first kid, I pretty much felt pregnancy symptoms every month. Its hard not to to obsess over all kinds of bodily issues when something as major as pregnancy is on your mind.
