So cottage won't work (too cold)? You could spread it on bread, sprinkle w/ cinnamon, and heat it in a toaster over.

Shape had a recipe for pancakes made with quinua and egg whites - maybe you could make multiple batches, freeze them, and heat them as needed.

Banana or apple with peanut butter (not sure if that's considered cold)

wholegrain waffle with peanut butter

toast with cheese or peanut butter

if you want to go English--toast with baked beans

I also love breakfast burritos--I don't usually pre-prep the actual burrito, but we'll often cook a bunch of sausage/bacon and potatoes and onions on the weekend, and then just need to scramble an egg and throw it all in a tortilla in the morning which is pretty quick.

What do you put in the burritos?

I do the mass breakfast burrito making thing too -- you can pretty much put anything you want in them. Eggs freeze really well, so I just soft scramble them (so they're cooked, but not super cooked -- because they'll get more cooking later when reheated), add a little cheese, salsa, sometimes some cut up turkey sausage or turkey bacon, sometimes some of those frozen peppers/onions from a fajita vegetable mix, somtimes I wilt a little baby spinach in the scrambled eggs. Honestly, the possibilities for fillings are almost endless. Roll them up, wrap in plastic wrap, into a ziploc bag, freeze. When it's time to reheat, I do mine for 2 minutes on half power, and then 2 minutes on full power. You could also just cook straight from frozen, or pull it out the night before to defrost in the fridge and then cook. Really, it's hard to mess these up too much.

Oatmeal with almond butter mixed in - fast, fiber and protein. I alternate this with egg on toast.

I make a large fritatta on Sundays, pack it with whatever veggies I need to use up and heat up a piece of it each morning. Takes 60 seconds.

I have a few staples I rotate:

a multigrain english muffin with a tbsp of peanut butter, half a banana sliced on top and very light drizzle of honey.

a whole wheat tortilla with an egg, cheese, and a bit of salsa.

when I'm feeling ambitious, I make a batch of homemade mini quiches (crustless, in muffin tins) or whoe grain muffins on Sunday and store in the freezer- I just pop one in the microwave each morning and grab a piece of fruit to go with it.

My instant, run out the door breakfast is coffee and a larabar or a pack of almonds. The kids love oatmeal or cream of wheat, so I have that a couple times a week too.

I am bored bored bored with my morning breakfasts... I don't like cold breakfasts (no idea why) and I don't want cereal or any sort of smoothie or yogurt w/ granola (I have that figured out on my own). Morning after morning I am making an egg on a multigrain english muffin with a slice of canadian bacon. I run, so I want protein, and am not really concerned about cholesterol, but I don't want a hugely fattening thing either.
