He was the first professional in 7 years to be able to pinpoint problems for my child and rule out several areas while including others as well as specifying what type of therapy to get.

I don't know Lucker. But, he is not the only one to not take insurance. GW doesn't take any insurance either. Their CAPD quote was something like 700 or 900 (sorry, I can't remember specifically). Chattering Children was $450, but since they took our insurance, we owed nothing. If we had used GW, we would have been responsible for the entire balance, regardless what the insurance reimbursed. I called around and asked what the fees were and what exactly the testing included and how long the report would take. There was no one who objected to my asking questions. Shop around.

See Dr Lucker's name here frequently. Can someone comment what is different about him or what sets him apart from other doctors? Since he doesn't take insurance seems quite pricey, but really don't know if that is the going rate for an evaluation

Not the OP but could you give some examples or a summary of what his recommendations for treatment were?

We also used Chattering Children. They took our Carefirst BC/BS insurance. She was a little bit difficult to get a return phone call from -- but easier to reach by email, willing to schedule quickly, and receptive when I had further questions a few weeks after our written report.
