If you got drunk in front of your colleagues, chances are, they were drunk, too. This means they are less likely to remember what you said, and they might be embarrassed about their activities, too. Being drunk is like a dream; some things stand out and some things don't. So chances are they may not remember too much of the evening anyway. Don't beat yourself up- we've all done it!

We had a guy get so hammered at a company happy hour that he actually whipped "it" out and peed all over the dance floor and had to be removed by force by 2 bouncers! I dont think you have anything to worry about!!!

Oops-7:39 here. I promised myself to never drink more than two drinks in front of co-workers ever again. I stuck to that. A lot of us have done it. Try not to beat yourself up. Just learn from it. :o)

OP: My professional drinking rule is 1 water one wine. Repeat. the entire glass of water must be drunk between. Usually helps.

Don't worry, OP, everyone has a story like this, but you never hear them until it happens to you.

Mine was a few years ago. Close colleagues. No bosses. We're all about the same age and have occasional drinks together.

But this time, I did the dumb. And then fell on my face, earning the ugliest black eye imaginable. At the bar. So. Yeah. Drunk, check. Talking too much, check. Bonus, black eye to remind us all for the next 10 days.

Of course, while me and the coworkers in question would laugh a little every time they saw my ugly face the next few weeks, I'm pretty sure they never gossiped about me. We work in an office of people who would love to laugh at something like that, and they didn't, so I was spared weeks of extra humiliation.

Point is, I think everyone has a story of how stupid they were and in all likelihood, come Monday, it will be either a quiet joke among those who were there or it will have blown over completely.
