What is this?

Every Android phone can do this.

I don't know if it has improved or not, but my wife and I both had smart phones(She had an iPhone, and I had couple of different phones, so hardware wasn't the issue) under AT&T plans and the number of dropped calls was simply incredible. My wife asked the same question when we were discussing it, and I pointed out that with AT&T, "talk and surf" was more like "drop calls while you surf". We switched to Verizon when the iPhone became available there, and honestly, I don't think there's been a single issue with dropped calls or needing to talk and surf at the same time. I'll sacrifice some multitasking ability for more reliable phone service. And I got an LTE phone for myself, so I didn't actually sacrifice the multitasking part personally

Sprint - Unlimited Data Plan that no other good carrier in this area offers.

AT&T has had its issues, but I recently upgraded to a 4S and I'm actually really, really happy with it. I thought the iPhone was pretty easy to get used to. (I started with the 3, from a non-smart phone.) I used to have problems with dropped calls, but haven't since last fall. (I'm in Arlington.)

I have had droids for years and just decided to go with droid razor maxx instead of iPhone. No regrets loVe my phone and the battery life blows everyone away. I have an iPad if I want to use apple apps.

Agreed. I didn't realize this difference until my mom got an iPhone on Verizon. She was lost and couldn't talk to me and use a map at the same time.

Thanks! Has anyone made the switch from Droid to iPhone? Is there much of a learning-curve for a semi-Luddite like myself?

I've had a droid smartphone via Verizon up until now, but I haven't been terribly impressed. My contract is ending and I'm leaning towards an iPhone. Pros? Cons? I heard somewhere that the iPhone is harder to get speedy coverage for, but not sure if that is still the case. What are your experiences?
