Most of what's understood to be Dunn Loring feeds into Marshall HS - "9" on Great Schools; perpetual Silver Medal award on U.S. News & World Report, etc.. No reason to worry about that school.

You might want to join Vienna Moms group and post on their classified pages. Also, through the state dept may be another option...lots of people here work for the state dep't.

Thanks for this, we are realising that we probably have to buy furniture and you have IKEA which we do not have in NZ...furniture is rather expensive to buy here. Is Ebay the best website to purchase second hand furniture?

No - I don't think many people use Ebay fo buying furniture (unless you are looking for an antique). Most people use Craigslist or second hand furniture stores in the area.

You could do Oakton too - the Vienna metro stop is really in Oakton (or maybe a few blocks over the line). If you live in Vienna, you may end up at the Dunn Loring stop. They are both on the orange line that goes to Rosslyn.

Hi,

We are a family of 4 moving to Washington DC in June 2012. My husband will be commuting to Roslyn in Arlington and we want to live in the Vienna area and are keen to be in the zone for the Louise Archer School, however, still open to other suggestions. Ideally we would like to rent furnished, as we plan to return to NZ in March 2015.

Any suggestions about where to look for such a property. I have googled and scanned through Craigs List, DC apartments and looked at the DC Metro area apartments. I am open to looking at other schools and areas within Vienna metro area.

Just putting out there as someone may know someone....in this small global e-village of ours.

Thanks in advance
