Could you be more clueless? Not every person who lives in NW DC is prosperous. I'm a teacher and most of the children in my class live in Columbia Heights (NW DC). All qualify for free lunch.

Absolutely not. Why on earth would you think this? Some stores don't want to participate; others cannot or will not meet the regulations for participation.

I'm the OP. I'm not worried about 7:24.

I checked with a few farms and they say that most people don't have a large enough balance on their EBT cards to cover a subscription, therefore they have to break it up into monthly payments and most can't do this. I have never used an EBT card before. It took a while to process and when I picked it up it had two months on it. It would be great to use it for a CSA. I find many in Va but not in DC... I'll keep looking and post when I find one in case others are interested. This is pretty normal in some states so it's bound to happen here.

07:24 is an ass.

OP, You might want to look into Clagett Farm. It looks like they don't accept EBT, but they have reduced price shares available to people who qualify for EBT

PP you are rude and closed minded.

OP, I know my CSA does not because they are small and the administration would be more difficult than they could manage. I hope you find one that does! And that you find good things to cook with all that kale...

I know that many farmers markets accept EBT as payment. But we are looking for a CSA program that will. We know it exists in other states, but in NW DC?
