Contact the special education teacher or counselor at his school. While they won't be able to tutor him, many schools have a list of tutors who have contacted them. There may also be a teacher listserv that they can post a request on for you.

Check out the referral lists for interdys.org and asdec.org. Both are for dyslexia, but most of the tutors also have had a formal writing training.

We are looking for a writing tutor for our son. I started with Lab and found out that they are restructuring their tutoring services and no longer take new clients. We are in Arlington.
