I was also a little freaked at how scary and almost anorexic skinny the sister was who helped me that day. She didn't look healthy or well at all.

That's a mean thing to say when

1. It's irrelevant to the taste of the pies
2. If she is, indeed, severely underweight, you don't know the reason
3. This is a public discussion. Would you like DCUM to discuss your physical flaws?

ITA. And if the sister was fat (which I'd be if I worked with pies all day) she probably would have commented on that too.

Thought the same thing...but I'll chime in with my experience anyway...

I liked the plain apple (had it heated up! they also have an a la mode option) and LOVED the vanilla cream/custard - yum! Dying to go back for another vanilla one. Didn't care for the apple crunch (caramel?). They said they had chicken pot pie too - will try that sometime if I can ever plan it out in advance.

I think the location sucks though because it's so far down at the end. And I thought they were a tad overpriced. Hope they stay in business though because I like have options beyond cupcakes! Plus the two sisters that I met were super nice!

Someone brought me pies from Pie Sisters recently.

I don't care about reality shows. I don't care about drama in the kitchen. All I care about is pie and, well, these pies were fantastic.

I have both chocolate cream and apple. Seriously. Delicious.

And just to prove that I'm not an ad, I also think Dangerously Delicious makes an awesome pie as well.

I did just google them and now I'm kind of disappointed. A reality show...really? I've just lost total respect.

Yes, it's fairly new. Just google it and you'll see all kinds of press. I haven't tried their pies yet but am dying to. I think they're optioned for a reality show just like the sisters of Georgetown Cupcake.

I've got such good and generous friends. They brought over a box of mini pies tonight from a place called "Pie Sisters" in Georgetown. They were out of this world delicious. Ha anyone else ever heard of this place? ...and before anyone chimes in, this is not any kind of promotion...just a happy foodie with a very satisfied sweet tooth
