I'd say that they are all the same. Only a few miles separate each school in the down county area.

What is the point of this sentence?

Bizarre.

I think Whitman is challenging but is not a pressure cooker for my kid. I know plenty of happy
B kids. Only about 15% get straight As in a quarter so there are definitely B students. Some of the pressure comes from APs. But they aren't mandatory.

There are great extracurriculars. Sports are strong but so is debate, music and drama. Kids are active in the SGA. The school paper is really well done. For kids who want to get involved there are tons of things to do.

I know lots of BCC families and it seems very similar.

Any school can be a pressure cooker if you want it to be. Many Whitman parents have caused the school to be a pressure cooker for their teenagers because they want to be seen as "keeping up with the Jones's) as in "my daughter got into Michigan, or my son was accepted by Stanford".

The social scene involves a lot of alcohol and weed.

The Whitman sports teams are some of the best in the county.
