Recently moved to NOVA (Fairfax), and today, my two kids were exhausting me, so I decided to go for a drive. The baby mercifully fell asleep immediately, and the toddler enjoys car rides, so I just kept on driving. I started in Fairfax and ended up in Clifton. (Lovely town, btw!) Except after a bit, the main road I was on turned into a dirt road! Like, I was slightly worried that the road would disappear, no one else was there, huge hills and bends, big ole pits on either side. It was a little fun, and a little scary too. Kept thinking if something happened to us, my DH would be like, WTF was she doing out there??
Anyway, got home and looked on a map, and it looks like I was on Kincheloe Rd. Does anyone know what area that is where it turns into the dirt road? Is it some Virginia state preserve or something? The map says Bull Run Marina State Park, but I wasn't near any water (that I knew of) and the website for the park doesn't look like what I saw.
Just curious.
