Should add -- since the OP indicated "One local level IV orientation is next Wed morning." -- historically the local level IV meetings have been before the Center AAP orientations. That way parents could attend the local level IV meetings prior to attending the Center orientation.
Since local level IV does not comprise just Center-eligible students, it tends to be a more widely attended meeting. If your child was in the 2nd grade pool and your base school offers local level IV, chances are very high that local level IV would be an option for your child. So it makes sense to attend such a meeting.
If you happen to learn that your child is Center-eligible, then you can attend the AAP Center orientation and make a decision between both options.
