I am gluten free and my husband is vegetarian. I think PF Changs food is really bad...we like Rasika when we are going fancy, Indian in general is a good bet. It is naturally GF for many items and lots of vegetarian options too. Sushi/Japanese restaurants are good, we like Sushi Ko. A pizza place with a GF crust is an option, like Pete's Apizza or Mellow Mushroom. A favorite spot is Mandu (Korean), also has GF and veg options.

Right? I had not been there in FOREVER and was so pleased to see how much they support local farms and organic/grass fed animals. I eat there now quite often. The quality has done a 180 since I was last there years ago.

Not close in, but Facci in Laurel is EXCELLENT for being in a strip mall in the suburbs and has a lot of gluten free items.

I feel like I recommend this restaurant all of the time here (I don't work there) but Wildfire has a great gf menu. They also ask about allergies, etc. to make sure the food is prepared in a different area, etc. Not sure about the organic, though.

Lebanese Taverna and Rosa Mexicano have great GF and vegetarian options although they aren't organic. There are many other restaurants that have GF menus such as Cafe Deluxe, Matchbox, Mon Ami Gabi, Chef Tonys. You can get GF pizzas (meat free options) at Pete's Apizza, Broadway pizza, Potomac Pizza, Z Pizza...

Ditto on PF Changs. It's the only place I can get a huge variety of GF free (granted, all Asian)

Cafe Green - they are a vegetarian restaurant with plenty of gluten free options. Downside: they're not cheap.

I was at Dino recently and they had a bunch of things marked on the menu as either gluten free or could be made gluten free. I think they would be good for veg. options too and they are totally into the local/organic meat movement.

(FWIW, Original Pancake House also has a gluten-free menu I think)

I would say PF Chang's or Chef Geoff's are good bets, but I don't know about the organic stuff and they are both chains. You could probably do well at most of the fancier restaurants with big name chefs who would have organic meats, and they could probably accommodate GF and vegetarians.

I'm hosting family members with dietary restrictions. Does anyone know of good restaurant options in DC / close-in Maryland suburbs that offer gluten-free dishes, vegetarian options, and is generally "organic" (antibiotic free meat, etc.)? Thanks.
