Cheapest possible option is hooking a computer up to the TV, using the TV as a monitor. Otherwise, get the cheapest possible Roku.

We stream amazon prime through our Wii.

The easiest way is to have an internet ready smart TV that has an Amazon Prime APP. Then you just run the app on the TV and stream away. Other than that, you must get/have another device that connects to the internet and has an Amazon Prime App or fully functioning browser. You then use that device's video/audio outputs to connect to your TV. Similar to how you would connect a blu-ray player to your TV. There are many devices that can do this: Gaming Consoles, Mobile Devices, Streaming Media Players, AV Receivers, Blu-ray Players, Computer/Laptops, etc. You just need to make sure the device is compatible with Amazon Prime. Which is basically two way, it can run an Amazon Prime APP, or has a fully functioning Web Browser.

I'm also a luddite when it comes to these things and we also use an HDMI cable to connect the laptop to the screen. There's probably a more elegant (and better quality) solution, but it works for us.

I have not been this happy with DCUM for months. I never really stopped loving you, DCUM.

My Sony Blu-Ray player needed an additional doohickey (looks like a USB drive and plugs into a USB port on the front of the player) to allow it to connect to our home wireless network. Then you followed the Blu-Ray's instructions for how to connect, and at some point had to input a password from Amazon so that it connects to your Prime account. I managed it despite the fact that my tech knowledge is limited to calling things "doohickeys," but the key was looking for instructions via the Blu-Ray (or TV), not looking for instructions from Amazon.

I stream mine through ROKU. No idea how you'd do it through Blue Ray. Perhaps reed the instructions on Amazaon and see if it's even possible.

The easiest way is to hook your laptop up to your TV. Does your laptop have an HDMI connection? Does your TV have a PC monitor connection?

i got a lenovo nettop drive computer and hooked it to my tv to stream video and music. no fees for hulu or spotify.

I recently signed up for Amazon Prime, and I want to stream videos. I can stream through my wireless laptop with no problem. But what I really want is to stream videos wirelessly to my TV. I have looked up many how-to guides on Google, but they all are too techy for me. Can any of the tech gurus here help me out with a few simple tips? Alternatively, if you can post a link to a good not-too-technical web guide, that will work too. This is where I want to post the picture of the Penguin Six logo in the sky!

I really appreciate the help. FWIW, my Blu-ray player and FIOS DVR are both pretty new -- only about 2 years old -- so it seems they should have wireless capability. My Sony Bravia HDTV is about 5-6 years old, so it might not be as up to date.
