More complicated than I thought! I usually just keep the apples separate, but maybe I should banish a couple of other things from the fruit bowl as well.

I'm curious about what I can and can't mix -- or have too close together. I know fruits and veggies each give off their own gasses so want to do this right. Because of a height restriction (and a busy toddler who likes to reach), I could only get a 2 tier, but I bought a metal one that offers excellent air flow (no plates or totally solid surfaces). So please, someone educate me. Can I put my apples next to my shallots? Thanks!
