Chinese and pizza are the only deliveries we get and I tip $3 usually, but will tip $5 if it gets there REALLY fast.

A $5 tip from a shabby rowhouse dweller in Petworth is more impressive than a $5 tip from a manse in upper Upper NW.

OP here--I often order an expensive, but not necessarily cumbersome or heavy order (like sushi). So, the bill might be $70--is it cheap to give $5 for this? It's never more than one or two bags.

I don't usually do a percentage, I typically give $3-5 but if I order a lot of food I do a higher tip.

10%. Usually $2 to $5.

How much do you typically tip for food delivery, like from a Chinese restaurant or for a pizza? Do you base it on a percentage or a flat amount?
