Pomegranate seeds are easy to get out. Buy a whole pomegranate, split it open, turn one half inside out, and smack the skin side. The seeds will fall out.

OP here, this one looks good too! I think I will try it with adding artichokes (as suggested in the add-ins). Thanks for posting this!

I'm getting obsessed with quinoa recipes, I also would like to try this one: http://ohsheglows.com/2011/06/20/high-protein-quinoa-almond-berry-salad/

I would skip the pomegranate b/c the seeds are a bit of a pain to get out of the fruit. I have seen them sold out of the fruit in packages. Both are a little pricey. This is what they look like:

This salad looks delicious and healthy just as it is. Thanks for sharing.

I have gotten pomegranate seeds at Balduccis. Other food stores-too. Do not remember where. Delicious.

Ignore the PP, OP. This salad looks delish and healthy. Arils are just the edible seeds inside the pomegranate. That's what you eat when you open a pomegranate. I would def make this. I might use salmon or chicken instead, because I'm allergic to shrimp. I also like the site; she has other good recipes as well.

Judging from the photo, arils are just the seeds. Imagine you can get a pomegranate at Whole Foods.

I am so obsessed with this recipe (eating it every single day!) that I just need to share: http://iowagirleats.com/recipes/superfood-salad-with-lemon-vinaigrette/

The only thing I omit are the pomegranate arils, mainly because I have no idea what they are- does anyone know and where in the grocery store they are located? I also use a little less oil and add the shrimp. I feel like it is pretty healthy- opinions?
