Weather can definitely affect your health. I've heard of joint aches with rain, vertigo with low barometric pressure, depression with dreary weather and irritability with hot weather.

I've noticed I get monster headaches when the pressure drops, which in turn makes me grumpy and want to be left alone.

When were kids I remember our dog would go and hide under the house or some such place whenever there was a storm coming. I suppose people can develop this sense. For me it really sucks--it doesn't have to be a major storm--just a sudden change in barometric pressure. I go into a panic attack, basically.

OP here. It's becoming a bit of problem for my day to day functioning as we enter hurricane season around here. I'll just start an argument, start yelling at the kids, snap at DH, or just feel I have to get up from what I'm doing and pace around like a loony. So PP, you're experiencing this in your 30's? Do you have a history of depression? Have you used anti-depressants? I have. I sometimes wonder if I have just thrown off my equilibrium entirely.

Well, I'm low 30's so no menopause for me ..... but I get headaches, sinus pressure and irritability when low pressure storms come in. It's quite annoying!

Since I turned 45 and started menopause, I've noticed that I feel anywhere from -very unsettled and head-ache-y to agitated and almost hysterical when there is a low pressure storm system approaching our area. I have tested my theory about myself because this has happened in interior locations where there was no window and I had no way of knowing that a t-storm was approaching. I've heard of people saying their bursitis acts up etc., so there is some precedent for a physical reaction-- but I actually feel like I am going batshit crazy sometimes before a storm hits--this never happened to me when I was younger. Anyone?
