Marvin's good, but I'm 99% sure that it's right on the corner of 14th and U, not 11th.

Can anyone recommend a restaurant or wine bar near there, not too loud or amateurish that takes reservations? Not really into Ethiopian or ethnic cuisines but love Italian, French food. Anyone been to Coppi's Organic or Bistro la Bonne, Dickson Wine Bar? TIA

Been to all three that you've mentioned. Coppi's: very good but very loud. Make a reservation or you'll wait. It's crowded always. Bistro la Bonne, good food, more spacious. In my experience it was easier to converse there, not as loud. Dickson Wine Bar, a small, narrow townhouse. Limited menu, mostly flatbreads and appetizers. Wine is the focus as you can imagine from the name. You could try Masa 14... good bar, food is hit or miss. El Centro D.F. has been excellent every time I've been there. Great guacamole. Make a reservation NOW. You could also try Cork wine bar... a bit further away... closer to R or Q as I recall but still walkable. Haven't been there but heard it's good.
