However, we are just not comfortable with our kids being pioneers. A 28 year old principal, no matter how smart just needs more experience in our view. Some people love that everyone is learning together, but it has its obvious downsides. We have a strong in boundary DCPS that we will try.

While we like the fun of the younger grades this year, we didn't like the teacher turnover and the jury is still out on academics.
Anonymous wrote:Yes! We re-enrolled. Our dc learned, is clearly supported in her own learning style and needs with highly skilled and knowledgeable teachers, many interesting and supportive parents. While we dithered about it, after carefully listening to parents with children in other schools, we decided ITS was the best for dc. It's been a rough first year in some respects; much needed doing at the same time and could not be so things were a bit chaotic. Communications were inconsistent and sometimes late. However, that has lessened considerably. The staff is clearly highly motivated to create the school it says it is. Teachers are terrific. Nothing is perfect, so we don't let the (very!) good get in the way of perfection.
