My boys loved these. There is a huge price range, with some of them being way beyond what I was willing to pay - I think I saw one recently for close to $400. So, for me, price was a factor and I bought the lowest price one that had the amount of power I wanted. The basicaly come in two power levels - I think it's 6 volt and 12 volt. If your kid is anywhere above two or three, you are most likely going to want the 12 volt. Batteries last a couple of hours and then have to be recharged. While I didn't want to pay so much for a toy, I think it was probably one of the few toys that we totally got our money's worth out of. They used them everyday for years. In fact, we just got rid of them last year after having them for five or six years.

DC has been asking for one of these cars to sit in and ride around. We finally decided to give in to buying one but with so many to choose from we feel overwhelmed. Did anyone buy these? Can you offer some advice on what's good, what's not. How long does battery life last?
