OP here ... Thanks poster 13:54!!! This is very helpful.
Poster 13:09 - You're missing the point. Some parents who have to work would rather spend money to expose or involve their children in more valuable activities that they might enjoy and actually benefit from rather than paying (wasting) money on a nanny or sitter to watch them after school for 2 hours or sit them in front of a TV before the child's parent can be home. And I can tell you the cost of paying a nanny part-time at 10 hours per week is WAY more expensive than After-School Enrichment Classes!!
Poster 10:50 - YES, Langley offers a variety of fun and interesting After-School Enrichment Classes for several grades including Kindergarten from Tuesday through Friday (but none on Mondays). The choices varies each semester depending on the vendors they use. But some examples are: Science Sampler (grade K), Robotics (Harry Potter, grades 1-3), Ballet (grades 1-2), Cricket (grades 3-6), Pottery (grades K-2), Tiny Chefs (grades K-2), Chess (grades 2-6), Fun with Books (K-2), Field Hockey (5-8), Mindstorms Robotics/Star Wars (grades 3-5), Basketball (grades K-2), String Orchestra (1-4), Video Game Development (6-8), Volleyball (grades 3-5).
