Pay to $350/week
This is a 9.25 hr day. With a mandated unpaid 30 minutes for lunch, this is a 8.75 hr/day job. 43.75 hrs/week. With 40 hours regular and 3.75 OT (time and a half), that comes out to $7.67 per hr which is slightly more than the minimum wage of $7.25.
Not a great job, but at least minimum wage. For someone with no job skills and no or limited education, this could be an ideal starter position to get into childcare. Nannies who get $15 or more per hour typically have a background in early childhood behavior, or CPR and first aid for children training, or significant appropriate childcare experience. Note that the requirements for this job do not include experience with childcare or training/education of any sort. And it definitely beats flipping burgers or asking if the customer would like fries with that order.
