Unbelievable that a legislature and governor would mandate a medical procedure of any sort. That's for a doctor to decide, not a bunch of useless lawyers and business people .

They removed the trans vaginal part of their trans vaginal bill. So now you get an ultrasound on the belly instead of being vaginally penetrated. Because Bob McDonell made them cuz he didn't want to look like a total nut job.

It looks like victims of rape and incest are exempt.

What bothers me is the hypocrisy: we believe in "small" government (oh except when it comes to defining who sleeps with who, whether or not you're using birth control, and what legal choices you make with your body). It's like the republicans who want to bomb Iran. Oh yes, because getting into Iraq and Afghanistan was really oh-so-helpful to the economy. And so very effective at actually keeping America safer.

I thought that this had no chance of passing? Wasn't the general consensus that it is unconstitutional?

The passage of this bill causes me actual physical discomfort; the wrongness of it all actually makes me feel like I might throw up. What is wrong with these republicans?! They claim to be all about less government intrusion...and they do this?
