In MCPS GT means all students who academically perform above the "on grade level" in Math and/or Reading. We need services for these students available in local school so that we do not depend on luck to send our child to magnet schools to get challenged. If services were available in our local school, we would rather have our child in the local school with neighborhood friends anyway.
This is only possible, if we parents show up as a large group in forums like this, engage ourselves in conversation with the MCPS staff and expect better than what is available now! So, mark your calendar and be there. If you are planning to be there, please respond here and let the numbers show! I will be there with my DC.
