Aw, don't worry so much about it!I assume you haven't done one before? A Rock n Roll race is so much fun, the music really keeps you motivated, and the crowd gets you so pumped up that the miles will just fly by. And if it sucks, the ultimate worst that happens is you don't finish and you can at least say you tried, which is better than 90% of the population.
