Good luck to everyone!! I'm the OP and I'm SO excited (and yes, nervous). They should have water/gatorade tables every 2 miles, so be sure to drink up, it's going to be WARM out there.

Did anyone get an email about what corral you will be in? A friend said she got one but I didn't, just wondering if I'm the only one.

Yup, and I'm heading to P.J. Clarke's and am going to somehow Bellini my way through St. Patty's brunch when I'm done! (if you bring your runner's bib it's 1/2 off).

I'm icing it a lot and taking Aleve and really hope it helps. Here is the link for water & gel stations:

I have a chronic injury too. So annoying, unfortunately I just drug up on a ton of ibuprofen and stretch and warm up real well.

09:50: if you can do 10 on your own, I bet you can do 13.1 in a race. You'll be surprised at what a difference the change in environment/fellow runners/crowds make. Marathon runners never train the whole 26.2 miles. Just be sure to start SLOW.

Aw, don't worry so much about it! I assume you haven't done one before? A Rock n Roll race is so much fun, the music really keeps you motivated, and the crowd gets you so pumped up that the miles will just fly by. And if it sucks, the ultimate worst that happens is you don't finish and you can at least say you tried, which is better than 90% of the population.

Nope, this is my first and the longest I've run is 10miles and I really struggled on mile #10. Most of my runs are around 3-6 miles. I also avoid hills and I see there is a big hill smack at mile #8. I figure the worst is I'll have to walk a mile which is not what I want to do. Finishing it to me mean jogging the entire time.

How much water do you think will be along the way? I don't want to bring water if I don't have to. I did not bring water on my 10 mile runs but I certainly think I will need it at least mid way through the 13 miles.

I'm running the half marathon and I'm SO excited. This isn't my first half (I've done 1 half, 2 fulls) but the first time in awhile, since I took a break from long distance running when the kids were young.

I was nervous for awhile, but now I'm getting pumped. I'm not fast or anything, but I'm hoping to have fun. Anyone else out there??
