We placed it same day in our N.arlington neighborhood. Things have been selling in days when they are priced right with multiple offers. Most sell before they even make it to market. Many contact the open house realtor to let them know a offer is...we did this as unrepresented buyers first time around and put it in in 4 days. A house down the street had an house a week ago Sunday and an "under contract" sign was up on the follwoing Thursday (and I thought it was way over-priced!).

Don't be depressed yet. I would never in a million years put an offer on a house after seeing it only at an open house, no matter how much I loved it. I can't concentrate well enough at an open house to do the full evaluation I need to do to determine if I *really* want a house. I would have to come back to see it again. Now, if I really loved it, I'd be back within 24 hours (if possible), but not every buyer can or will do that. Even if someone really is interested in your house, they may have to take some time to weigh their options or whatever else.

It can range, depends on your list price and condition of your home. So, if no issues there, if someone near you lists and makes you look more favorable you may get some offers out-of-the-blue.
Otherwise, if priced above recent sales comps, some buyers like to wait for a price decrease to know that the seller is motivated.

We had no offers for 4 weeks and then 2 offers within 2 days.

We've offered twice after open houses. The first time, our agent was in touch with theirs on Monday and the second time our agent called theirs on Sunday afternoon.

Ask your agent what kind of feedback s/he got *after* the open.

depends on your location, one in our neighborhood in Bethesda was open yesterday-undercontract sign this afternoon, if you are in an area further out........it might not be as desirable.

Real estate agents will tell you open houses don't sell houses.

That said, we had 4 offers within 12 hours of our open house last year, so if you have a well-priced, desireable property, there should be action by now.

We made an offer after seeing the house via open house. Open house Sunday, met with realtor Monday evening, initial offer made first thing Tuesday, contract signed Saturday morning.

It can range from a day to weeks. In this market, I assume many buyers feel like they have some time - at least a few days.
