My understanding is that there are typically 1-2 spots avaialble for incoming students for 1st grade. More if kids move. Neighborhood kids are given a preference, but I would not count on it.

We may move to takoma park when DD is a rising 1st grader. If we moved into the appropriate boundary, would she be given the home preference of entering the Rolling Terrace immersion program in first grade, or is the program typically full to capacity with no slots opening to in-boundary families for the first grade???
