As a PP mentioned you don't even need the composite score as that was simply for pool selection. You did a parent referral so you need not worry about the pool. The central selection committee looks at the subtest scores and not the composite.

Last year the composite was on the results sheet. Don't know if that's changed.

Was the score included in your son's file, or do they just have the NNAT score?

I was under the impression that the central office already had the files.

Thanks, I searched online and didn't come up with anything myself, so I kind of figured there might not be an easy answer.

Good point about there not being any place on the summary sheet for the composite score. I hadn't noticed that.

Thanks for your input!

There is no specific formula available to the public that I have been able to find. It is not a straight average, and the age of the child (by month) at the time the test was given also factors into the equation.

The composite is irrelevant, though, once the pool is established. The AAP screening summary sheet only has an area to enter each sub-score and the NNAT score. The composite is not listed on the summary sheet at all.

We just received our child's CogAT scores from a makeup test given in February (administered by FCPS 2nd grade). The letter says the test was form 7, level 8. No composite score was given. Any idea how to calculate the composite score? I'm curious how much the two higher scores might offset the lower score. (We already submitted a parent referral for AAP before receiving these scores.) Thanks.
