It does not. There are a number of center students at our shcool with IEPs.

Let's just be clear. They can't discriminate against your child because he/she gets accommodations to which he/she is legally entitled. It should make no difference whatsoever.

As a practical matter, it helps the school that houses the HGC improve their SPED performance numbers, so it could be an dvantage.

My DC has an IEP for speech and is in the HGC.

Not an issue at all.

At the HGC my dd went to they seemed to accept 2-3 kids per year with IEP/504's

No, I don't think it has any effect at all, particularly not if it's for speech.
