49.5 yo female and I agree with this. I excercise harder now than I did in my 30's but the rewards are better. Maybe that's because I'm also taking better care of myself in other ways, e.g. better diet, more sleep, no all night party sessions, etc. that I used to be able to get away with. Strength training/ weight lifting is also key.
