This is going to sound nuts but Bob Evans has grilled chicken fingers that are delicious. (We discovered this while on a road trip.)

Thanks for the grouper fingers recommendation. Coastal Flats is a great fall back for our family, but our 5 year old has become quite the chicken tenders connoisseur (so proud!) and he gets grumpy that CF does't have them. Maybe I'll sub the grouper and see what he thinks.

Sweetwater Tavern in Merrifield
If you're at the mall, go to Coatal Flats. They don't have chicken tenders, but they have Grouper Fingers for kids (and adults) that are delicious.
