I don't think the word "almost" belongs there. Although he has resigned as co-chair of the Arizona Romney campaign, he is continuing his campaign for Congress. And for Romney, who claimed in one of the debates that he was speaking out for gay rights "Right now," it's a chance to prove it by refusing the resignation.
This guy could be the right-wing version of Ellen DeGeneres in helping people see gays as normal human beings.
